Wow, I guess I slipped away for awhile again! Well, my busy bee self has been working on lots of new things for my up and coming pageant Miss Mansfield/Miss North Central Ohio, not to mention just working in general. I finished fall semester, picked up hours at work, and doing my best to get myself into my goal area. Although between work, school, and the holidays I have definitely not got the gym time that I have wanted to get in. (That WILL change.)
I had the exciting opportunity over winter break of performing at the Military Bowl in Washington DC and to cheering our Rockets on to victory, (Military Bowl Champs 2011, baybayyy!!! :D ) not to mention getting to see all the regular sites like the White House and the Lincoln Memorial. I definitely am so thankful for the opportunities that I have gotten through being a part of the RMB!!
Now, on to the changes...I think the only thing that hasn't changed (yet) is my interview outfit. I found an evening gown I'm absolutely in love with, two different bathing suits (that I got for very, very cheap at my work's new year's sale and now I can't decide between the two on which to wear... can I go on twice for swimsuit? ;] ), I am going to show another talent, a colorguard routine to Parachute by Cheryl Cole, and probably the most major, I have decided to change my platform to another issue near and dear to my heart: fighting against body image issues. Further explanation will follow, as well as my platform essay :)
2011 has been an awesome year of new adventures and opportunities, and I can't wait to see what 2012 has in store!!
Be sure to come see me compete in the Miss Mansfield 2012 competition on Feb 4th at 7 pm at the Mansfield Sr. High auditorium!!!!
Much XOXO,
Lo.
